Glen Beitmen

SuperScience and Amazing Art


Glen Beitmen is owner and President of Super Science and Amazing Art an Educational Entertainment company. Several years ago he co-founded the STEM TEAM of SWFL with, the now, GHD Scientists and Engineers, the now Florida Sothwestern Collegiate High school, and the Imaginarium. Currently, he teaches at the Village School of Naples and appears on WINK News presenting fun and easy science experiments. Throughout his career he has worked with Nickelodeon and Mattel to design games for the PC and Playstation. He worked with MITs Edgerton Center, trained at the Museum of Science in Boston and is highlighted in their Engineering is Elementary (EiE) workshops. He's beginning his mastery of Game Salad and he is a certified expert in SCRATCH. Glen continues to partner with the School District of Lee and Collier County to develop educational science videos, teacher training workshops, assemblies, camps, and afterschool programs. He shares his STEAM ideas at conferences like FCIS, Circles of Care, The Hunter Institute, and many others.


Drew Coffman

Science Teacher

Tortuga Elementary

Drew Coffman is a fun, hands-on and experienced teacher in Lee County currently working with Tortuga Elementary school throughout all grade levels as an Encore Science Teacher. Drew has led summer camps, outreach events, and assemblies with Super Science and Amazing Art for over seven years. As the FLL Robotics Coach for Tortuga Elementary, he brings his love of learning and science into the real world with the students competing at local and regional events!  



Marina Hurt



Marina is a Florida native who graduated from Florida Gulf Coast University in 2014 with a degree in environmental studies and minors in biology and education. Marina's role with Super Science and Amazing Art is vast and plentiful, from running Miamar Outlets Kids Table Programs, instructing summer camps and day camps, and teaching our Pre-school Programs at various institutions. Currently Marina holds a full-time Education position with PURE FL. Her passion lies in all things outdoors and science. She loves hiking, kayaking, and hanging out with her dogs.   



Michael Cochran


Tortuga Preserve

Michael Cochran has been teaching Science for 7 years. He is currently a 5th grade Math and Science teacher at Tortuga Preserve Elementary. Michael has also worked many summer day camps for the YMCA. As a classroom teacher and camp counselor, Michael really enjoys helping kids learn while having a lot of fun. A few of his favorite things include football, pizza, Twizzlers, and Doritos on his PB &aJ's.


Amy Putnam


Lee County

  Hi! I am Amy Putnam and I am a Third Grade Teacher in Lee County. I have been teaching for 8 years and love each and every day I am with my kiddos! I am married with a beautiful 4 year old daughter, who will be starting kindergarten in the fall. I enjoy being outdoors with my family and friends. We have two dogs, a boxer named Miles, and a Chihuahua named Mesa. I was born in Florida, and plan to never leave!


Jennifer Onorati

Super Science Teacher


Jennifer Onorati is a Master of Philosophy, specializing in environmental and agricultural ethics. She has taught philosophy courses at the University of North Texas, worked in the organic produce industry in Portland, Oregon, and handled fine art auctions in Santa Fe, New Mexico. When she's not hiking, biking, or baking, she's teaching everyone she knows about how fascinating the natural world around us is--especially the stuff we eat!
